When eBay buyers hit Buy
11,247 eBay sales by hour and day. The busiest hour is 5 p.m. Eastern, the quietest is 3 a.m. Sunday is the busiest day and Friday the slowest, but the gap is only 14%.

What the data shows
- 5 p.m. Eastern was the busiest hour: 6.0% of all sales. 3 a.m. was the quietest at 1.6%.
- 69.5% of sales landed between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. Eastern.
- Sunday had the most sales (15.2%) and Friday the fewest (13.3%). Sunday beat Friday by 14%, which is real but small.
- These are purchase times. They show when buyers are shopping, not proof that listing at a certain hour sells more. Fixed-price listings stay up for weeks, so they get every hour anyway.
How we measured
Every eBay sale FlowLister detected for listings created with FlowLister and published March 30 to October 15, 2026: 11,247 sales from 323 FlowLister sellers. Time is the sale timestamp eBay reported, converted to US Eastern daylight time.
